My car (206) finally gave up recently, so investing in a diesel focus this time round. 2003 with 57k on the clock, should last a few years. While waiting for car to be prepped/money to clear through banks I've been using the trains Sheffield to Leeds, 2 - 2.5 hours each way commute is no fun!
Yesterday I managed to leave the card at home that I had used to book my tickets, meaning I couldn't get my tickets at the station so ended up buying a new ticket. I figured it would be worth asking about getting a refund for one or other ticket, the subsequent email exchange with thetrainline.com staff "amused" me.....

| Hello, I did "approach station staff for assistance" namely the person at the ticket who said he couldn't trace the online tickets without my card or issue a refund so I would have to buy a new ticket and contact thetrainline.com to ask about a refund. The response I received below does not answer my query, re. refunding the original ticket purchased online. | Hello, This morning when I got to the collection point to collect my ticket purchased through thetrainline.com I found the card used to buy the ticket wasn't in my wallet (I hope it's still by my computer at home!). As such I wasn't able to collect my ticket from the machine and ended up having to buy a new ticket (from a manned kiosk). Would it be possible to get a refund of any description for one of the tickets, as I have now paid twice for the same journey? Thanks, Ben | |
So... after much deliberation we finally decided on a tent. We went for a Vaude Mark ii Light. A little over budget really, but figured the extra £40 we had to find was worth it to shave off best part of a Kg from the standard Mark ii price.
